New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is mandatory for all newly admitted students. Immerse yourself in TSU’s campus culture, academic programs, and social scene by taking advantage of New Student Orientation programs. Learn about the exciting opportunities you’ll encounter during your first year, including academic expectations and student life.

Registration Fees 

   Student Registration Fee                     $50.00 Per Student                     

   Parent/Family Registration Fee           $25.00 Per Guest (Guest Limit 2)

Admitted Students Days

If you are still finalizing your college decision or have already completed your Intent to Enroll form, this event is designed exclusively for Admitted Students and their families to learn more about TSU!

You will hear from current students, faculty, and proud alumni who will share with you why TSU is the right choice. Also, you will receive important information on the next steps in the enrollment process and information about our quality academic programs. 

Best of all, you will meet new friends and discover your favorite spots on our beautiful campus that will become your home away from home. Register for one of the scheduled Admitted Students Days now so you can experience what our Tigers experience every day here in the LAND OF GOLDEN SUNSHINE. You will love it here!

New Student Orientation 

Make a smooth transition to life at Tennessee State University. Immerse yourself in TSU’s campus culture, academic programs, and social scene by taking advantage of New Student Orientation programs. Learn about the excitement and challenges you’ll encounter during your first year, including academic expectations and student life.

As a new Tiger, you will have the opportunity to meet your peers, engage with current student leaders, meet your university faculty, staff, and more through the following sessions:

• Becoming a Tiger - Finding the U in TSU!
• Paying for College - Financial Aid and Bursars.
• Class Registration - University Advisement Center.
• Living and Learning on Campus - Residence Life, Student Support             
      Services, Campus Life.
• Safety and Responsibility - University Police and Emergency 
     Management.
